Creating employment opportunities for local people

Who are we?

A consultation and research company whose assets are community owned. Community Pathways CIC employs local people who undertake quality assured training to enable them to conduct research and consultation in local communities.

Why community consultation and research?

All public bodies are committed to:

  • Involving people in the design and delivery of services
  • Tackling inequalities and promoting equality in the process
  • Engaging local people to discuss service quality, gaps and future improvements
  • Shaping commissioning priorities

This is best achieved by training people from within the communities you wish to consult or by using our bank of ready trained researchers. Experience shows that consultation response rates are higher than for standard research and the results tend to be more reliable and representative of the local population.

Many of Community Pathways CIC researchers are from those groups who are furthest removed from the labour market and we have found that they gain confidence, new skills, expertise and improved employment prospects.

Why should I use Community Pathways CIC?

Whether you are a local authority, NHS Trust, Housing Association or voluntary organisation our team of researchers, supported by experienced researchers, can provide you with ‘real’ information about the needs of your local community as well as a local perspective on the services you provide or would like to provide.

The unique options on offer from Community Pathways CIC also encourage each organisation we work with to ‘give something back’ to their communities.

  • Are you a NHS Trust that needs to found out what local people think about the move to community based services?
  • Are you a Housing Association and need to find out what your tenants want or how to improve participation in Tenants Associations? Why not train your tenants to conduct your research?
  • Are you a local authority keen to engage local people?
  • Are you a voluntary organisation who needs to demonstrate there is community support for your funding proposal?

Community Pathways CIC will train and employ local people, facilitate dialogue and let your communities know what you are planning.
